The arduino 24C16 EEprom is a simple memory chip that works with I2C and is interfaced to the arduino. Looking to buy or find the datasheet. There are many people who already have interfaced this chip with the arduino. I did mine on a standard arduino shield. With jumpers you can select A2 A1 and A0 to select the I2C adress. In my case i set the A0 jumper so that i had slave adress 0x51 as you can see in the program. EEPROM 24C04 / 24C16 library for Arduino - by Julien Le Sech. The arduino 24C16 EEprom is a simple memory chip that works with I2C and is interfaced to the arduino. Arduino 24C16 sofware. The software to control it can be downloaded here. It has been written by davekw7x and the original posting on arduino.cc you can find here. Xeltek universal programmers support a variety of EPROM / EEPROM chips from different manufacturers. Both programmer and its user-friendly software provide an efficient way to program complex chips. Yes you must rotate right one bit from the datasheet to comply with the Wire library. 24C16 pinout 24C16 slave adress arduino 24C16 sofware The software to control it can be. It has been written by davekw7x and the original posting on arduino.cc you can find I have adapted it to run on the arduino 1.0 IDE. You can also see the output from the program showing the EEPROM being erased and then loaded with selected data. 24c16 Ee Prom DatasheetHi Guys, I need some help with something a project i am planning, i have been given a vauxhall stereo that is missing it security code, ive been told i can read the eeprom from the stereo and with some software available online decrypt it and recover the security code. Im running out of options to recover the stereos code and its a shame to throw out a working stereo if i can get it working again, the dealer needs the cars license plate it was fitted to at the factory as they store a set of license plates to stereo code records but without the original license they cannot give me the code. I would use the online decoders to-do it but that requires the serial number which has long since rubbed off. My only option if i cannot recover it with my arduino is to pay someone to recode the stereo and whilst its a nice stereo its not worth the money to recover. Reading eeproms is a new world to me (i spend most of my arduino time making leds flash) and would appreciate some help with how i get the arduino to talk to and read from the eeprom on the stereo, ive found the data sheet for the eeprom but im lost with how i would wire them together and talk to it? Im not after an easy ride and am willing to try some coding im just after some pointers on how i connect them and some suggestions on talking to it. Ee Prom SoftwareHere is a pdf link to the eeprom if someone can point me in the right direction, its an atmel chip if thats a good thing. Thanks everyone kris.
